Jocelyn La Forte is from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She is a Senior at Sam Houston State University, where she will earn her BFA in Dance in Spring 2025. At age three, she began her dance training at various studios in the suburbs and the city of Chicago before joining Visceral Studio Company, which emphasized contemporary technique. Under the direction of Nick Pupillo, she has performed in “Within”, “Dance Chicago”, and “Dance for Life’s Next Generation.” Other performances included a feature role as the Evil Queen in The Chicago School of Ballet’s all-original contemporary ballet production of “Snow White” and an ensemble member in Sam Houston State University’s musical theater production of “Green Day’s American Idiot.” She has the privilege of working with Dual Rivot, Nicole Von Arx, Travis Lake, Gregory Dolbashian, Steven Norman, Braeden Barnes, Amanda Hickey, Nickie Del Re, and others.
